Black Pearl Bracelet

Size Matters Most Here

A bracelet is less forgiving on size than a necklace. A few centimetres too big and it spins; too small and it pinches.

The bracelets in this category run between 17 and 19 cm. The Avery models are 17 cm and Mandy is 19 cm. Mandy works with a with an elevator system system, sliding along its own chain to tighten and adjust to the wrist.

If you don't know your size, a strip of paper works better than a tape measure: wrap it around the narrowest part of your wrist, mark it, then measure it against a ruler. Add a centimetre.

Pearl Size

There are two main groups, 7-8 mm and 11-12 mm. Poseidon is 7-8 and Avery is 11-12 mm.

A large pearl takes up more room on the wrist than on the neck, because the wrist is narrower. 11-12 mm is a bold choice; 7-8 mm is more comfortable for everyday wear.

The Practical Advantage of Black Pearl

White pearl shows skin oil and perfume residue over time. On black pearl that mark doesn't show.

That doesn't make care unnecessary, but it does make black pearl easier to live with day to day. Wiping it with a soft cloth after wearing still protects the surface.

Metal Options

Most models are brass with gold plating. Mandy comes in both 925 sterling silver and gold plated silver.

A bracelet meets sweat and water more than a necklace does; it gets wet every time you wash your hands. On plated models the most practical way to limit that is to take the bracelet off at the sink. Silver models don't have the problem.
